Luggage saga
My father-in-law came for my nephew's Bar Mitzvah. He arrived Tuesday from Seattle so as not to fly on 9 Av. His luggage didn't come. They gave him NIS 330 ($70) to buy clothes. On Friday afternoon El Al called and said they would put in on a flight Motzaei Shabbat. My brother-in-law told them that was too late and they should send it back to Seattle. They wanted FIL to pick it up in NY, but BIL insisted. On Monday, after my father-in-law left the country, they called to say the suitcase was on its way to BIL's house. He told them to send it to us as my husband will be in Seattle, and there is stuff FIL brought for us. As of this morning El Al said they sent it back to the US, but it actually arrived safely at my home. It had a printed label that read, "All's well that ends well." It's not for them to say though, is it.
